Oh, subways. The husbands navigated while we practiced our balancing skills by avoiding holding on to anything.
SO MANY TAXIS. This city is so colorful and you can see atleast one taxi at all times. It is like a million taxi emojis just running around like crazy here.
We loved seeing all of the amazing artwork at the Museum of Modern Art. We got in trouble about three times for getting too close to the artwork but we couldn't help it! The views from this building were unreal.
Cupcakes at Carlo's Bakery (Cake Boss). We love cooking shows, so we had to fangirl at Carlo's and buy some treats!
One of our favorite memories from the trip right here! We got tickets to see Jimmy Fallon and were FRONT ROW. He did a dress rehearsal for his show so it was really up close and personal, we chatted with him and he asked us questions. He is seriously the nicest celebrity we have met here. (We also met Matthew Morrison and Donald trump.) hahaha WE LOVE JIMMY.
*To get your tickets to Jimmy Fallon visit 1iota.com and create a profile. Then, click on the calendar and it will show you when they have openings to a bunch of different tv shows. Click on the date that you want and you will be put on a waitlist. (they will email you with tickets if you get in). Being in a live audience is so much fun and we totally recommend doing this if you are ever in a big city!
OUR NEW YORK FAVORITES:
1. We absolutely LOVED the Broadway play "Finding Neverland". All of us had been to Broadway before and this was by far our favorite show that we have seen. (Make sure to buy the tickets the day of to get them half price.)
2. Row Boats in Central Park. This was the most relaxing, romantic, and fun activity of the whole week. (It only costs $15 for an hour.)
3. The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. As we explained above, this was amazing and was definitely a highlight of the trip.
4. Top of the Rock. This is the best view of New York! We loved snapping photos up above all the hustle and bustle of the city.
5. Shopping in Soho. You will love the shopping in Soho, your wallet will not. ;) All of our favorite shops are here and we discovered so many amazing designers as well. The Highline is also near the Chelsea Market shopping center in Soho. This is an above ground park that is gorgeous and perfect for a walk if you need to unwind at the end of the day.
We definitely fell in love with New York and already want to go back. It really is the city that never sleeps!
