
FRUIT AND FRENCH TOAST CABOBS:
These are a fun twist on regular french toast and super easy to make. We made full pieces of french toast (with texas toast) and then cut them into squares with kitchen shears. We then got a medley of our favorite fruit and slid it all onto the cabob. We recommend drizzling buttermilk syrup over the kabob (though the syrup is so divine that you will definitely need to double dip the kabob a few times!)
Once you try this syrup recipe you will never go back to normal syrup again! It is foamy, sweet, and SO delicious.
SYRUP RECIPE:
+2 CUPS SUGAR
+1 CUP BUTTER
MELT THESE TOGETHER IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN AND THEN ADD:
+1 CUP BUTTERMILK
BRING TO A BOIL AND BOIL FOR ONE MINUTE AND THEN REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD:
+1 TSP BAKING SODA
+1 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT
(STIR TO MIX, SYRUP WILL FOAM UP)
