GIVE THANKS FEATHER GARLAND

We are those crazy people who just go straight from Halloween to Christmas every year, but this year we thought we would really appreciate Thanksgiving. This project has helped us to stop and think of what we are thankful for and how much we have been given.

TOOLS:

+Paper (the thicker the better, we used cardstock but paper with texture would also work well)

+scissors (the smaller, the easier to work with)

+paint

+glitter

+pencil

+string

Instructions:

This is more of a craft inspiration post, because the process is pretty self explanatory. Draw feather shapes onto your cardstock (pinterest has great templates and ideas). Paint each feather a different color, or if you just want to paint the tip wait until the feather is cut out. Then fringe each side of the feather with the scissors. (Make sure the fringe cuts are both facing upwards for best results..cut upwards towards the top of the feather). Once they are all cut out you can paint a few of the tips and sprinkle glitter over them to add a pop of sparkle!

**Once all of the feathers are complete write one thing you are thankful for on each. This is fun if you start early in the month and hang/write one thing on one feather per day and by the end of the month you will have full garland!

We also thought it was a fun look to hang it in a frame on a gallery wall.

We hope you enjoyed this garland tutorial. Tag us once you make your feather garland, we would love to see!

xoxo,

Suzy&Sydney
